Organic Bitter Orange Essential Oil. Also known as bitter orange, the bigaradier is the origin of a hybrid between grapefruit and mandarin. Unlike the orange tree, it is not its fruit that is used, but its aerial parts: leaves and twigs. It was introduced to Europe by the Arabs during the Crusades of the 11th century. Its essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the aerial parts. This process consists of carrying the volatile components (the essential oil) of the leaves and the ramps with the water vapor. The vapor then condenses in the swarm, separating the essential oils from the hydrolase (water).
